What the published research actually shows

Advocacy without evidence is noise, so this page collects the peer-reviewed literature we rely on and is explicit about its limits. The most-cited work is the magnesium–ibogaine study in special-operations veterans with traumatic brain injury, published in Nature Medicine in 2024, alongside functional-neuroimaging work and reviews of psychedelics in TBI. These are small, mostly open-label studies with short follow-up — genuinely striking results that are not the same thing as proof of safety or efficacy for any individual. Below the published work we set out the three research programmes we believe Israel should run next: expanded controlled trials, neuroimaging and biomarkers, and long-term safety tracking.
